Tina Alleguez

Tina Alleguez is a well-respected transactional attorney with a deep litigation background, widely recognized in the Latinx business community. After spending many years representing clients in complex commercial litigation, she now limits her litigation work to select matters and focuses her practice primarily on business transactions and strategic advisory work. As Managing Partner of Alleguez Newman Goodstein LLP, Tina brings more than three decades of experience to her transactional practice, informed by the seasoned courtroom insight that allows her to anticipate risks and structure deals that prevent disputes.  

Ms. Alleguez also serves as outside general counsel to businesses ranging from sole proprietorships to large corporations, advising clients on corporate compliance, contract negotiations, acquisitions and sales of businesses and commercial properties, and overall risk management. Fluent in Spanish, she has extensive experience working with clients in the Latinx business community and has represented clients in both state and federal courts as well as in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.

She is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Central District of California and is a member of the State Bar of California. She currently serves as a foundation Board Member of the Multicultural Learning Center, a dual immersion (Spanish and English) charter school and serves on the Woodbury University, School of Business Advisory Board. 

Andy lugo

Andy Lugo is a prominent trial attorney in the Latinx community and a partner at Heimanson & Wolf LLP, where his practice focuses on personal injury and wrongful death litigation. Mr. Lugo has helped his clients recover millions of dollars in cases involving premises liability, construction accidents, motor vehicle collisions, wrongful death, and medical malpractice. He began his career representing businesses and insurance companies on the defense side, giving him valuable insight into defense strategies that he now uses to advocate effectively for injured clients.

Mr. Lugo received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Government and has practiced law for about a decade. He is admitted to practice is all California state courts and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He is a member of the State Bar of California and is fluent in Spanish.

Clarissa Cuevas

Clarissa Cuevas is a current student at Loyola Law School with an interest in intellectual property law. Prior to law school, she worked as a Patent Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office. After passing the patent bar, she began working as a patent agent at an intellectual property boutique firm. She is also an inventor on one issued patent, two patent applications with allowable claims, and one additional pending application.

Ms. Cuevas holds two Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. She is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and speaks conversational Spanish.

Michael Lovitz

Michael Lovitz is the founder of Lovitz IP Law, which focuses on trademark, copyright, unfair competition, and trade secret matters. Mr. Lovitz has been a featured speaker at Comic-Con International: San Diego, presenting his Comic Book Law School® series for more than 30 years. His work includes transactional, licensing, and litigation work for domestic and international clients across media, technology, entertainment, and creative industries.

Mr. Lovitz's educational background includes receiving two Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Astrophysics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor from Temple University. He is a member of the California State Bar, the Pennsylvania State Bar, and is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Arlyn ALonzo

Arlyn Alonzo is the founder of Alonzo & Associates, where she focuses on technically complex patent law cases and expert search services. Before entering the legal profession, Ms. Alonzo began her career as a satellite engineer. Her legal experience is quite diverse and unique. It includes practicing at an IP boutique firm, serving as an in-house Chief IP Counsel, and working as a partner in big law at McDermott Will & Emery before starting her own firm. Some of her litigation clients include Nike, Medtronics, Panasonic, Intergraph and MBI. She has prepared patent applications in wireless communication systems, virtual reality/artificial intelligence and integrated circuit technology.

Ms. Alonzo’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering (magna cum laude) and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (cum laude) at USC. She earned her Juris Doctor at Loyola Law School where she graduated in the top 2%. She is a member of the California State Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
