Michael Lovitz
Michael Lovitz is the founder of Lovitz IP Law, which focuses on trademark, copyright, unfair competition, and trade secret matters. Mr. Lovitz has been a featured speaker at Comic-Con International: San Diego, presenting his Comic Book Law School® series for more than 30 years. His work includes transactional, licensing, and litigation work for domestic and international clients across media, technology, entertainment, and creative industries.
Mr. Lovitz's educational background includes receiving two Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Astrophysics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor from Temple University. He is a member of the California State Bar, the Pennsylvania State Bar, and is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Arlyn ALonzo
Arlyn Alonzo is the founder of Alonzo & Associates, where she focuses on technically complex patent law cases and expert search services. Before entering the legal profession, Ms. Alonzo began her career as a satellite engineer. Her legal experience is quite diverse and unique. It includes practicing at an IP boutique firm, serving as an in-house Chief IP Counsel, and working as a partner in big law at McDermott Will & Emery before starting her own firm. Some of her litigation clients include Nike, Medtronics, Panasonic, Intergraph and MBI. She has prepared patent applications in wireless communication systems, virtual reality/artificial intelligence and integrated circuit technology.
Ms. Alonzo’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering (magna cum laude) and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (cum laude) at USC. She earned her Juris Doctor at Loyola Law School where she graduated in the top 2%. She is a member of the California State Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Clarissa cuevas
Clarissa Cuevas is a current student at Loyola Law School with an interest in intellectual property law. Prior to law school, she worked as a Patent Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office. After passing the patent bar, she began working as a patent agent at an intellectual property boutique firm.
Ms. Cuevas’ educational background includes two Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. She is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
